Sea Buckthorn Pesto
Sea buckthorn pesto is made in no time and tastes fantastic. We think it's best on pasta from Pastariget, because it's our favorite pasta, but you can of course use it on all pasta.
It can be enjoyed on pasta, together with a good salad or served with fish or chicken. Maybe it will become your new favorite too.
Ingredients:
- 1 pc. rich pasta or 300g penne
- 1/2 dl. 100% sea buckthorn juice
- 1/2 dl. olive oil
- 1 DL. grated parmesan
- 1 tsp. butter
- flake salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 handful of fresh basil
Here's how you do it:
- Add water and cook according to instructions.
- While the pasta is cooking, mix sea buckthorn juice, parmesan, olive oil, flaked salt and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Chop the fresh basil.
- Strain the water from the cooked pasta and pour the pasta back into the pan.
- Pour the sea buckthorn pesto from the bowl into the hot pasta in the pan and add the butter.
- Stir and mix well until everything is evenly distributed and the butter is melted.
- Add 2/3 of the chopped basil to the pan and mix again.
- Serve with freshly ground pepper and basil on top.
