Raw food quality
Our dried sea buckthorn flakes are a light, fluffy sprinkle with a fresh, tart flavor and a beautiful orange-yellow color. They are gently dried at 41 degrees to preserve as many nutrients as possible and the natural, fruity-sour flavor.
Sea buckthorn flakes and gluten-free baking
Did you know that sea buckthorn flakes can make a difference in gluten-free bread?
Gluten-free baked goods can lack depth of flavor, but sea buckthorn flakes add natural fruit acids that intensify both flavor and aroma. They are also high in dietary fiber and pectin, which helps the bread stay moist and fresh longer.
Many applications
Sea buckthorn flakes are perfect for:
✔ Muesli, skyr and porridge – for a fresh twist and beautiful color
✔ Cakes and pastries – especially gluten-free recipes
✔ Salads and grilled fish – adds color and flavor
Sustainable use of sea buckthorn
The flakes come from the skin of the sea buckthorn berries, which is part of the press residue that remains when we press the juice. After drying, we remove most of the seeds, but there may still be a few seeds left in the dried flakes – and that is completely natural.
Practical packaging
Choose between a resealable refill bag or a tin can with an aroma lid that you can reuse for sea buckthorn flakes or other dried spices.
